Before his move to banking, Charlie built a distinguished career at The University of Texas Medical Branch, including Director of County Government Relations in the department of Health Policy & Legislative Affairs, as well as Director of Community Relations and Community Development. In these roles, he worked at the intersection of public policy, healthcare, and community engagement—bringing people together to solve complex challenges.
Charlie also served as Director of Development at Baylor College of Medicine’s Texas Children’s Cancer Center, where he helped support life-saving programs and expand community partnerships. Earlier in his career, he worked in major gifts, planned giving, university advancement, and human resources—building a strong foundation in leadership, collaboration, and service.
A graduate of Ball High School, Charlie attended The University of Texas at Austin and completed advanced banking studies at the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University.
